Rep. Davidsmeyer has his blood sugar checked at his diabetes event in Jerseyville, IL.

Today, Rep. Davidsmeyer took to the IL House Floor to discuss how IL Democrats shortchanged child care last fiscal year.  The IL House of Representatives advanced funding for lottery winnings, 911 call centers and local tax distribution dollars shortly after Rep. Davidsmeyer's remarks.
From the Jacksonville Journal Courier:

Illinois Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer said he felt the restrictions were too harsh when the governor first instituted the rules.

“I thought it was a little over the top because I consider a program like that to be an investment,” Davidsmeyer said. “You’re encouraging people to continue to work, to continue to pay taxes and set a good example for their kids as opposed to not having the services and putting them in a position where they might not be able to work.”
Jersey Community Hospital and State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer (R- Jacksonville) are jointly sponsoring a free diabetes screening for the public from 9am to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 13 at the JCH Wellness Center Lobby, Commerce Towers, 400 Maple Summit Road, Jerseyville.

The screening consists of a finger-stick blood glucose test. A two hour fast is recommended.
